Interludes and Postludes (many couples choose to add interludes during significant moments such as the unity candle lighting or the ketubah signing, along with a postlude, which is played while guests exit the ceremony.)

My playing works best for your rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony. I could also handle your reception, but I find that most people prefer to hire a band or a DJ. Nonetheless, I have played wedding receptions for older couples or those with vintage tastes.

MUSIC QUESTIONS FOR THE WEDDING COUPLE
For weddings, I usually play a mix of music that includes standards, show tunes, movie themes, Disney classics, and more. My focus is on uplifting music, typically centered around love. I’ve found that most weddings have a diverse mix of guests with varying ages and interests, so I aim to play something for everyone.
Please Note: While I am a musician, I am not an MC. However, I’m happy to make announcements if needed; just be sure to communicate your preferences ahead of time and let me know when you’d like me to make those announcements.
ABOUT MY PLAYING FOR YOU…
I can play over 500 tunes and am constantly adding more to my repertoire. That said, I’ve noticed that older tunes often translate better on piano and keyboard than some newer music, as certain songs don’t quite carry the same essence when performed as a solo piano piece compared to a full band or orchestra with singers.
I will provide you with a master list of the pieces I play, including a list specifically of pieces I’ve performed at weddings before. Please try to choose your music from these lists as much as possible.
If there’s specific music you want that I don’t already know, I’ll do my best to learn it for you, provided I have enough lead time. However, please consider selecting an alternative piece, or keep in mind that it may not sound the same as a solo piano performance compared to a full band.
The questions below are for specific tunes you’d like me to play at certain times during the event (or for a special person). It’s helpful if you can provide alternate choices if possible.
· Music while guests are arriving and being seated (I usually play pretty music with themes of love, show tunes, and Disney; I call it "positive music" for a special occasion)
· Music for the Flower Girl (and/or ring bearer if needed) as they come down the aisle
· Entry music for the Bride
· Exit music for the Newly Married couple (and bridal party)
· Cocktail Hour Music (if there is one) — I provide a wide mix, but if you have specific requests, let me know.
· Dinner Music — Again, I typically play a diverse mix. Keep in mind that most guests will be eating and chatting at this point.
· Any special music requests (e.g., the Bride's grandmother’s favorite song, something humorous, or a tribute to someone here in spirit…)
If the venue you’re hosting your wedding at is nearby, I’d like to visit to check out the setup details I’ll need. If it’s not close enough, good pictures and descriptions would help:
· Where I’ll be setting up (and what entrance to use for my equipment)
· Where I need to park after unloading my equipment
· Access to electric outlets
· Canopy/cover if it’s being held outside (and what are the contingency plans if mother nature doesn’t cooperate?)
And always remember, it’s your special day. No matter what happens, at the end of the day, you will be married to your sweetheart, and that’s the most important thing to keep in mind!
